4D Systems LCD Starter Kits for Use with Raspberry Pi
These starter kits from 4D Systems feature an LCD module with a resistive touch screen, adapter for Raspberry Pi GPIO header, 2GB microSD card, programming adapter and all of the cabling required to interface between a Raspberry Pi (using its serial port) and the LCD module. The user can then quickly begin programming the 4D Systems display module through the Raspberry Pi. This display is a secondary display and does not replace the monitor or TV used to program the Raspberry Pi itself. Powered from the Raspberry Pi via the GPIO adapter, the display module can be programmed and configured using 4D Systems Workshop4 software IDE (see datasheet for link to download this). The LCD module is set up to receive a wide range of serial commands from the Raspberry Pi, for example, to display shapes, text, images, to play sounds and log data to the microSD card.
