These motors are precision devices that are made in the same factroy as mars lander motors, new the motor alone costs 100's

Some motors have light surface imperfections due to the second hand nature of this product.

22mm diameter Maxon DC motors, with 100ppr encoder and planetary gearbox fitted. They were operated at a nominal 12v DC, can run up to 18v & output power about 3watts. Gearbox is about a 231:1 reduction, it does about 24rpm at exactly 12v. Motor has precious metal brushes.

Gearbox & gears are steel, with 4mm stainless outlet shaft (flat keyed) on ball bearing. Weight about 160gr, full length of motor 90mm plus 13mm shaft. It has three tapped holes in the gearbox end cap for mounting.

Encoder has A & B channel, 90 degrees out of phase. Vcc input is 5V DC, encoder outputs are TTL compatible. I've hooked the encoder up to a frequency counter & read 8900 Hz with no load at 12v. That works out at about 5340 rpm, motor without gearbox runs about 5600 rpm.

These are used, tested in good working order. Few scratches & bubbling in the paint on the gearbox, apart from that they're all good. Photo shows actual motor, also shows a motor with the gearbox & encoder.

These are also quite useful for those wanting a rotary encoder, can remove the gearbox & use it as an encoder. (Encoder is attached directly to motor shaft)
