The AA5106 enables one of four line level inputs to be switched to the connected amplifier. RCA sockets are used for each of these inputs. The sensitivity of each input is selectable (100mV or 1V) via the dip switches on the rear panel. The output is connected to the amplifier via a stereo RCA socket.
A local microphone input is provided (via a Euro block) on the rear panel. When operated, it will automatically mute the selected program source. The muting can be either vox muting using a 2 core shielded cable or PTT muting using a 4 core shielded cable (W 3032). ie 2 core plus shield for mic and 2 core for PTT. The selected program will reinstate on completion of paging.
Each input is provided with a front panel program on / off selection switch, volume control, and LED to indicate the input selected. A separate volume control and LED is provided for the microphone input.
Terminals are provided for remote volume adjustment of the selected input source and microphone level. These are controlled via standard figure 8 cables ie: one for line level, one for microphone.
The entire system can be operated remotely via the optional A 5108 control plate. This enables selection of the desired program source and volume setting. Adjustment is also included for the local microphone input. Interconnection is via a single Cat5 cable and RJ45 connectors.
