SALE PRICE! WAS $449
Product Code: SHMV7-K
Get a professional podcast sound with audio interfaces, hard disk recorders, or direct to computers and mobile devices with the Shure MV7 Podcasting Microphone (Black). This is a professional-quality, broadcast-style dynamic microphone, one that can has both a conventional XLR connection and a USB port. It also supports a 3.5mm headphone output for direct monitoring.
The mic offers a unidirectional cardioid polar pattern, which is the best natural defense against room noise: since the capsule mostly captures what's directly in front of it, you won't pick up as much room noise as you would with another polar pattern. Use the mic in close proximity to your voice and you'll find it exhibits a clear, intelligible, and high-quality sound.
On the USB side, the mic provides broadcast-quality specs and intuitive functionality. Capture audio at sample rates and resolutions up to 48 kHz / 24-bit, which is the standard for editing and mixing broadcast audio. Use the integrated touch-panel interface on the mic itself to control levels, headphone volumes, monitor mix, and mic-mute. The free ShurePlus MOTIV Desktop Application will let you save your own presets, enable auto-level, add compression, EQ the signal, and more.
The mic is both attractive and durable, with that classic Shure end-address look and rugged all-metal design. The mic sits in an adjustable yoke that will fit a variety of stands and mounting options. Use the mic with your audio interface, hard disk recorder, mixer, computer (over USB Mini-B), select Android devices, and select iOS devices. Two cables are included, one a USB Mini Type-B to USB Type-A, the other a USB Mini Type-B to USB Type-C
Key Features: XLR and USB Hybrid MicrophoneChoose to connect your MV7 by XLR or USB, depending on your set up. When connecting via USB, you have access to the ShurePlusTM MOTIV app, which has a variety of additional controls such as Mic Gain, Mic Mute, EQ, Monitor Mix, Limiter and Compressor that can be adjusted. Alternatively, connect your MV7 via XLR to an audio interface if you are working with a professional recording set-up.
Voice Isolation TechnologyThe MV7’s impressive combination of cartridge, pick-up pattern and shock mount brings your voice to the forefront of the recording and prevents any unwanted background or room noise from interrupting your sound.
App control from integration with ShurePlusTM MOTIV apps (desktop and mobile)Download the free ShurePlusTM MOTIV app(s) and configure the microphone to perform best for your chosen application. Select Auto Level Mode if you want a ‘set it and forget it’ microphone, or Manual Mode if you wish to get more hands on with features such as Mic Gain, Mic Mute, EQ, Monitor Mix, Limiter and Compressor. You can even save your favourite presets for another day.
Auto Level ModeUsers that connect via USB will have access to Auto Level Mode, offering them adjustments between Tone and Mic Position. Once enabled, this mode will allow the microphone to constantly adjust your level on the fly to ensure a consistent output of your recording or stream. Save valuable editing time in post-production and keep your level consistent throughout; it’s like having a virtual engineer by your side.
Built-in touch panelIf you’re on the go or want a slight adjustment just before you’re set to record, the on-board touch panel allows you to quickly slide and adjust microphone gain, headphone volume, monitor mix as well as muting the microphone, locking the touch panel and even exiting Auto Level Mode to revert to Manual Mode.
