Passive speakers
This set includes four powerful passive speakers. These PDW5B speakers are designed for the professional segment. Each speaker boasts an impressive peak power of 200W. Each speaker also features a 5.25-inch woofer and a 2.75-inch tweeter: a true two-way system. Together, these components deliver a frequency response of 50Hz - 18,000Hz. Ideal if you want to play subtle background music and occasionally switch to a loud volume with rich bass, for example, during a party. Each speaker is easily mounted to a wall or ceiling with the included wall bracket, which can be used both horizontally and vertically. A swivel wall bracket is also available separately, allowing you to tilt the speaker as desired after installation.
Versatile and smart amplifier
This set also comes with a Class-D amplifier, which has major advantages. It heats up less quickly than other amplifiers, is lightweight, and its compact 1U design makes it perfect for mounting in a 19-inch rack or patch cabinet. Each of the four outputs has a balanced input with its own gain control. You can also activate a 70Hz high-pass filter on each channel. This filters out the low frequencies, leaving only the midrange and high frequencies. Ideal if you prefer to listen to subtle background music at your venue. Finally, the amplifier is very energy-efficient thanks to its automatic standby function.
Tip : This set doesn't include an input cable. You can order an RCA or 3.5mm jack cable separately, cut it in half, strip the ends, and connect the + and - terminals neatly to the amplifier.
